Submit a Paper

We welcome submissions on all aspects of methodological, applied or theoretical GIS; and are especially interested in receiving papers on our conference themes:

  • Crime and Policing
  • Open GIS
  • Environmental GIS
  • Neogeography
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Qualitative GIS
  • Simulation and Modelling
  • Transport Systems
  • Urban Planning
  • Visualisation
  • Spatial Analysis

Submission to GISRUK requires completion of an extended abstract (~1500 words). To ensure consistency we have prepared a word template which is required to prepare your submission. However, submission through Easychair requires this to be converted to a PDF. Also, Easychair will ask for an abstract - please just provide a summary paragraph.

All papers will be subject to peer review with accepted papers allocated to oral (short and long) and poster sessions accordingly. Conference proceedings including all papers accepted for oral and poster presentation will be made available as a free e-book

The template is available to download here >>>> [Abstract Submission Template]

The call for papers is now closed...

Peer review decisions by mid January 2013
